Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee QA automation initiatives for platform or backend systems, including the development and implementation of test automation using C#, Python, Pytest, and Appium frameworks.
  • Provide guidance to technical teams and spearhead cross-functional projects aimed at enhancing test coverage and automation strategies.
  • Craft and execute functional test plans and test cases based on a thorough understanding of system requirements and functional specifications.
  • Collaborate with product managers and developers to comprehend business needs and estimate testing efforts.
  • Conduct Software Functional, Regression, API, and Integration testing.
  • Document software defects and manage them through the entire defect lifecycle until resolution.
  • Engage with a team of engineers in the technical analysis, design, development, deployment, and support of scalable software delivery automation solutions.
  • Configure, maintain, and improve existing tools, automation frameworks, and infrastructure to bolster testing efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Over 5 years of practical experience in software testing and quality assurance, covering functional, regression, smoke, system testing, load testing, API testing, and automated testing tools for commercial web-based cloud applications.
  • Proficient in test planning, documentation, and effort estimation.
  • 5+ years of experience in coding for Web Frameworks, Microservices, and APIs.
  • Strong programming skills in Java and Python.
  • Extensive experience with AWS, including the setup and maintenance of testing environments.
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD practices and tools such as Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with strong analytical abilities.
  • Familiarity with industry best practices in software development and quality assurance methodologies.
  • Experience with SDLC and agile development processes.
