Job Description

**About the Role**

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team at Motorsport-Total GmbH. As a key member of our software development lifecycle, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive and Ensure Software Quality: Oversee the entire testing process, focusing on performance and load tests.
  • Prepare Test Cases: Develop test cases for new features and regression scenarios.
  • Thorough Quality Assessment: Conduct thorough quality assessments of features and systems, leveraging APM, log, and monitoring tools.
  • Design and Execute Tests: Design functional, performance, and load test scenarios, prepare necessary data, and execute tests.
  • Author Test Scripts: Write test scripts and analyze performance issues.
  • Contribute to Automation: Contribute to end-to-end workflows automation (UI) and the development of a QA automation framework for our web and micro-services platform.
  • Evaluate Testing Tools: Evaluate commercial, open-source, or proprietary testing tools and test frameworks for use within projects.
  • Collaborate with Teams: Collaborate with software engineers, product designers, and quality assurance engineers across worldwide teams.
  • Communicate Effectively: Communicate effectively and responsibly in an Agile environment.
  • Document Test Results: Document test results and provide reports on product performance, quality, and stability.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or other engineering discipline.
  • Experience: Proven experience in a senior QA engineer role, 4+ years software QA experience.
  • Language Skills: Excellent English reading, writing, and speaking skills.
  • Programming Skills: Proficiency in Python or other programming languages.
  • QA Methodologies: Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Service Monitoring: Familiarity with service monitoring and log tools such as New Relic, Splunk, DataDog, Grafana, etc.
  • Scripted Performance Testing: Expertise in scripted performance and load testing.
  • Automated Test Suites: Hands-on experience building automated test suites for testing API endpoints and micro-services.
