Job Title: Intermediate Asset Management Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced Intermediate Asset Management Coordinator to support our client's efficiency and cost savings initiatives around asset management and licensing.

This is a hybrid role that can be based in Ottawa, Montreal, or Halifax.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather requirements and conduct usage analysis to optimize software asset management
  • Analyze software and hardware maintenance contracts to ensure timely renewals, identify areas of risk, and report on software license compliance and cost savings opportunities
  • Populate asset monitoring tools and develop or enhance procurement and distribution processes to ensure accurate tracking of IT assets
  • Track hardware assets and determine retirement schedules for critical hardware assets, including monitoring and mitigation of technology debts
  • Attend vendor meetings to assist with software or hardware negotiations and relationship management
  • Create, update, monitor, and maintain software licenses in the asset management database, as well as monitor application usage and report on compliance
  • Identify opportunities to reclaim unused or restricted software
  • Participate in project meetings to identify potential impacts on software or hardware standards due to application and infrastructure changes
  • Assess data accuracy and reasonableness and follow up with clients to resolve licensing or hardware anomalies

Requirements:

  • Eligible for Secret clearance with the Federal Government
  • Prior experience in a Software Asset Management role

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with hardware lifecycle management, including inventory tracking and asset tagging, standards creation, procurement and planning, sanitization and disposal
  • Experience working with 3rd party vendors
