Job Title: Caregiver - Special Needs

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team at Oakville Children's Home Ltd. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents with special needs.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing personal care and support to our residents, including assisting with daily living activities, administering medications, and maintaining a safe and healthy environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care and support to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, such as eating, toileting, and mobility
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by medical staff
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment, including cleaning and organizing living areas
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each resident
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care
  • Participate in training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-2 years of experience in residential care or a related field
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift 20 lbs and stand for extended periods
