Job Title: Caregiver - Special Needs

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team at Oakville Children's Home Ltd. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents with special needs.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing personal care and support to our residents, including assisting with daily living activities, managing medications, and maintaining a safe and healthy environment. You will also be required to work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each resident.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care and support to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as feeding, toileting, and transferring
  • Manage medications and maintain accurate records
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment, including cleaning and organizing living spaces
  • Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • First Aid and CPR certification required
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
