Job Summary

The Technical Services Specialist will provide engineering-related technical support to customers, suppliers, and Regional Product Support Managers of New Flyer. This role involves investigating product field issues related to programming and electrical systems, determining root cause and corrective action for issues affecting product.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Support: Provide technical assistance to customers, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve product-related issues.
  • Issue Investigation: Investigate product field issues, determine root cause, and develop corrective actions to resolve issues affecting product.
  • Documentation and Release: Document and release instructions to complete retrofits and service bulletins.
  • Communication: Communicate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to resolve issues and provide updates.
  • Training and Development: Stay up-to-date with training on all pertinent systems in our vehicle to enable the technical services group to be intimately familiar with all aspects of our vehicle.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Engineering (P. Eng or EIT), Diploma in Engineering Technology (CET), or equivalent work experience.
  • Engineering Background: Strong understanding of engineering principles and practices.
  • Customer Service Background: Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers and internal teams.
  • Leadership Qualities: Strong leadership skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: High problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex issues.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams).
