At Tim Hortons, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Distribution Operations, Guelph DC to lead our distribution operations team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our Guelph distribution centre, providing millions of Canadians with their favorite cup of coffee every day.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee all aspects of distribution operations, including warehousing and transportation, to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to our restaurants.
  • Develop and implement routines, policies, and standard operating procedures for the warehouse, transportation, and maintenance departments.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by identifying and addressing safety issues, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators, prepare reports, and provide data-driven insights to inform business decisions.
  • Forecast short-term and mid-term labour requirements, manage headcount budgets, and prepare annual DC budgets.
  • Assure the integrity of operations within the Guelph DC, and continuously monitor effectiveness of operations strategies to improve quality-control procedures and optimize operating costs.
  • Stay up-to-date with distribution industry developments and technology to identify opportunities for improvement and make recommendations to enhance distribution operations.
Requirements:
  • 5-10 years' experience in all aspects of warehouse/freight logistics industry.
  • 4+ years' of management experience within the warehouse/freight logistics industry.
  • Experience with warehouse and labour management systems, transportation management systems, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrated servant leadership, people focus, and commitment to safety.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal/team skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
