About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Mortgage Underwriter to join our team at Neo Financial. As a key member of our lending team, you will be responsible for reviewing and underwriting mortgage applications, ensuring that our customers receive the best possible financial solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality mortgage underwriting services, from application to funding, with the support of our Mortgage Coordinators.
  • Communicate effectively with our Sales team, mortgage brokers, and internal/external partners to ensure a smooth mortgage process.
  • Liaise with the Sales team, Coordinators, and third-party brokers on status updates for active mortgage files.
  • Review all documents associated with mortgage files to ensure they meet our policies and guidelines.
  • Utilize problem-solving skills and expertise to make prudent decisions on complex mortgage files.
  • Work with management to support on complex files where standard lending solutions have been exhausted.
  • Develop subject matter expertise in our products, services, tools, technology, and Salesforce CRM capabilities.
  • Stay current on the latest industry trends to secure a competitive advantage.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of underwriting experience in the Canadian mortgage industry.
  • A passion for growth and excellence, consistently striving to deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Superior communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Highly organized with exceptional time management capabilities.
