Systems Administrator

Foicon is seeking a highly skilled Systems Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our Operations Control Centre, you will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining our critical infrastructure, ensuring the availability and performance of our systems and services.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor and maintain our mainframe, UNIX, and Windows servers, as well as our network devices and storage systems.
- Respond to high-priority requests and incidents, participating in system recovery and service restoration efforts.
- Implement changes and updates to our systems, ensuring minimal impact on our services and meeting our service level agreements.
- Collaborate with our team to develop and deliver training, communications, and procedural documentation.
- Participate in departmental initiatives, such as shift left and Agile monitoring.
- 5-8+ years of experience supporting large ZOS mainframe systems.
- Knowledge of Unix and Wintel servers, network peripherals, and system management.
- Demonstrated ability to manage incidents and changes, with strong documentation and communication skills.
- Experience with system and application monitoring tools, as well as service management tools like eSMT, CIT, Remedy, and ITIL.
The evaluation will consist of six questions, each with a specific weightage:
- Question 1: 10% - Specific examples of experience supporting large ZOS mainframe systems.
- Question 2: 25% - Knowledge of Unix and Wintel servers and network peripherals.
- Question 3: 10% - Using a specific project, describe how you demonstrated incident and change management activities with strong documentation and communication skills.
- Question 4: 10% - Knowledge of system and application monitoring tools.
- Question 5: 10% - Using specific examples, describe your knowledge of service management tools like eSMT, CIT, Remedy, and ITIL.
- Question 6: 5% - Using specific examples, demonstrate your knowledge of communications, collaborations, and analytics tools.
