Job Description

Senior Mechanical Engineer, Analysis

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer, Analysis to join our Reactor & Major Components - Analysis team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the design analysis of CANDU reactor components, systems, and structures, including mechanical equipment.

Your Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead a team to complete the design analysis of CANDU reactor components, systems, and structures, including mechanical equipment.
  2. Perform engineering calculations to support design nuclear pressure boundary components.
  3. Prepare formal technical reports and review design documents, calculations, and analysis reports.
  4. Develop and execute engineering budgets and support proposal preparation.
  5. Ensure timely completion of engineering activities within budget and schedule.
  6. Provide accurate reporting of engineering work to technical and project managers.
  7. Collaborate with clients, suppliers, stakeholders, and other design disciplines to execute assigned engineering work.

Requirements

  1. A Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) from a university of recognized standing.
  2. Licensed as a Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario.
  3. At least 8-12 years of related work experience in the field of design and analysis of complex mechanical systems or equipment.
  4. Experience in finite element analysis using ANSYS/LS-DYNA/ABAQUS.
