Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Foreman for a significant project. The Foreman will oversee trade personnel assigned to specific construction disciplines or areas.
Reporting Structure: This position reports directly to the Superintendent.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing work schedules and determining workforce needs, material quantities, and equipment requirements.
- Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures.
- Identify and rectify hazards and unsafe conditions.
- Conduct quality assurance and quality control checks and inspections.
- Facilitate site-specific orientations and tailgate meetings.
- Prepare and submit Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Take charge of the site in the absence of the Superintendent.
- Perform additional duties as necessary.
- Represent Clark Builders professionally and respectfully.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
- Ability to interpret drawings, plans, and blueprints and effectively communicate this information.
- Strong communication, organizational, and supervisory skills are essential.
- Conflict resolution capabilities.
- Aptitude for working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Qualifications:
- Journeyperson trade certification.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in construction.
- Valid first aid certification is an asset.
- Certifications in Fall Protection, CSTS 2020, and WHMIS 2015 are advantageous.
