The role of Product Owner for the Observability Platform involves overseeing the development and management of EDC's comprehensive monitoring solutions. This position is crucial for ensuring that Canadian businesses have the tools they need to enhance their operational efficiency and reliability.

Team & Job Context
The Digital & Technology Solutions (DTS) division, led by the Chief Information Officer, was formed to enhance digital experiences for our clients and employees. The DTS aims to:
- Establish a cohesive technology framework to support EDC's strategic objectives.
- Develop a comprehensive Digital Roadmap that aligns technology initiatives with business goals.
- Stay ahead of technological advancements to maintain competitiveness in the global market.
- Implement integrated digital solutions to improve user experiences across all platforms.
Service Delivery & Resiliency Focus
The Service Delivery & Resiliency team is dedicated to improving technology accessibility and fostering strong relationships with business units to enhance their technological experiences. This team is tasked with creating a robust IT Observability Platform that will streamline monitoring processes and improve operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will take ownership of the Observability Platform, managing all facets of its development and implementation. Responsibilities include:
- Defining the platform's strategic framework and establishing key performance metrics.
- Collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance application performance and minimize downtime.
- Automating failure detection and reporting processes to improve incident response times.
- Building a community around the platform to encourage user engagement and feedback.
- Maintaining awareness of industry trends and best practices in observability.
- Overseeing the integration of new data sources into the platform.
- Facilitating communication between users, support teams, and external vendors.
Qualifications
- A degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience with monitoring technologies.
- Experience in an Agile environment, particularly in platform and product management.
- Strong technical background in observability tools and methodologies.
Additional Assets
- Certifications in Microsoft technologies or ITIL.
- Experience with vendor management and relationship governance.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French.
