Medical Clerk

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Clerk to join our team at Shared Health. As a Medical Clerk, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Diagnostic Services Department.
Key Responsibilities- Perform various administrative tasks related to patient care, including data entry, record-keeping, and communication with healthcare professionals.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare staff, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with the Diagnostic Support Supervisor and Charge Technologist to ensure efficient and effective department operations.
- Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date records, reports, and databases to support departmental functions.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to enhance patient care and departmental efficiency.
- Grade 12 education or equivalent.
- Completion of post-secondary education in office administration or a related field is an asset.
- Excellent knowledge of Windows-based programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
