Job Summary:

The Medical Device Reprocessing Technician will be responsible for cleaning, sterilizing, and preparing surgical instruments and equipment for use in our clinics. This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, with no evenings or weekends.

Responsibilities:

  • Sort, clean, and process surgical instruments
  • Clean, assemble, and sterilize surgical kits for multiple procedures
  • Perform high-temperature steam sterilization and other forms of sterilization
  • Utilize knowledge of multiple instruments to assemble surgical trays for multiple procedures for surgeons
  • Perform daily biological tests for multiple processors; keep and maintain accurate logs
  • Inventory control of equipment and supplies to keep the clinic running effectively
  • Additional duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Minimum completion of Medical Device Reprocessing certificate required
  • Knowledge of instrument technology
  • Knowledge of high-steam sterilization
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently and understand verbal work orders
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Detail-oriented
  • Compliant with PPE protocols for sterilization
  • Able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective organization and communication skills
  • Punctual and good attendance
