Job Title: Grocery Clerk

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Grocery Clerk to join our team at Thrifty Foods. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and supporting the overall success of our grocery department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to all Food Safety Protocols and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Order, receive, and merchandise stock in accordance with company inventory control procedures
  • Provide superior customer service to meet customer needs
  • Increase store sales by actively promoting featured products
  • Perform back shop and retail floor maintenance, keeping work area clean and presentable
  • Prep Customer orders, as required
  • Process department shrink, as required
  • Participate in the training of junior staff
Requirements:
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Above average communication skills (oral and written)
  • May be required to lift up to 20lbs, stand for long periods of time, and complete physical work including but not limited to bending, lifting, and reaching
