Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and update payroll data for both new hires and existing staff, ensuring accuracy in exemptions, insurance, savings deductions, job titles, and departmental transfers.
- Work closely with accounting and human resources to maintain data integrity.
- Process various payroll cycles utilizing Ceridian Dayforce software for hourly, salaried, and unionized employees.
- Provide exceptional service by addressing payroll inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Oversee employee and employer benefits programs, including health, dental, insurance, and RRSP contributions, in accordance with employment agreements and company policies.
- Prepare Records of Employment (ROE) as necessary and generate T4s at year-end using Ceridian software.
- Input payroll journal entries into the accounting system.
- Conduct monthly reconciliations of remittances.
- Administer and uphold group benefits plans, ensuring compliance with eligibility criteria and effectively communicating plan details to eligible parties.
Qualifications:
- At least three years of experience in a similar role.
- Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Familiarity with Ceridian Dayforce or comparable payroll systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a focus on meeting deadlines.
- Experience in hospitality, construction, leasing, or property management is advantageous.
- PCP certification is a plus.
