Senior Compensation and Classification Specialist

At Saint Mary's University, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Compensation and Classification Consultant to join our People & Culture team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in shaping the university's compensation and classification strategies.
Key Responsibilities:- Consult with senior leaders to determine strategic needs and develop classification and compensation plans.
- Lead job classification and compensation projects to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Provide expert advice on classification and compensation-related issues, ensuring internal equity and adherence to policy.
- Conduct market research and analysis to ensure competitiveness and internal equity.
- Develop and maintain classification and compensation systems, ensuring compliance with legislation and policy.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Compensation, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of compensation and classification experience, with a proven track record of success.
- Canadian Compensation Professional (CCP) or Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation an asset.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize data and present recommendations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build productive relationships with stakeholders.
