Job Summary

CB Canada is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst – IFRS 17 to join our team. As a Senior Financial Analyst – IFRS 17, you will be responsible for providing financial expertise and support to our clients in the financial sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial information for a business, including timely and accurate completion of all deliverables such as KPIs, monthly forecasts, quarterly reporting, and packages internal results communications.
  • Ensure that all financial information is prepared according to CB Canada's Business Internal Controls over Financial Reporting and governance.
  • Implement IFRS 17 requirements and solutions as it relates to the Finance function in the Financial Reporting and Management Reporting systems along with the Financial Controls framework across the organization.
  • Support CB Canada's business in the readiness of the organization for IFRS 17, including developing requirements and where appropriate, changes to processes, and engaging relevant stakeholders.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple competing tasks and deliverables for the workstream/project.

Requirements

  • Professional accountant (CPA) with expertise in IFRS, life insurance accounting, and financial control knowledge.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in financial reporting and investment accounting.
  • Minimum 4-6 years' experience in an accounting or finance-related role.

Preferred Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage changes involving complex organizational structure and system changes.
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Strong change management skills, able to drive the implementation of best practices and influence others to make or adjust to change.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple complex projects simultaneously and to prioritize work and efforts in a matrix environment.
  • Ability to identify, interpret, and report on trends, analyze large data sets, and make recommendations to senior management.
