Job Title: Personal Support Worker - Nursing Care

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to join our team at Prokare Support Services Inc. As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our clients, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supply and empty bed pans, maintaining a clean and hygienic environment for our clients.
  • Serve meal trays and feed patients, promoting a positive dining experience.
  • Weigh, lift, turn, and position patients with care and precision, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Deliver messages, reports, requisitions, and specimens between departments, maintaining effective communication.
  • Make beds and maintain patients' rooms, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Supervise patients' exercise routines, promoting physical activity and mobility.
  • Administer suppositories, colonic irrigations, and enemas, providing essential care and support.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies, ensuring a well-stocked and efficient environment.
  • Bathe, dress, and groom patients, promoting personal hygiene and dignity.
  • Transport patients between care facilities, ensuring safe and comfortable transfers.
  • Transport patients in wheelchair or stretcher, providing necessary support and assistance.
  • Answer call signals to determine patients' needs, responding promptly and professionally.
  • Prepare patients for surgery by washing, shaving, and sterilizing operative areas, ensuring a smooth and safe process.
  • Administer first aid in emergency situations, providing critical care and support.

Experience:
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Permanent employment opportunity.
