Business Analyst
CB Canada is seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to join our team. As a Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting our business objectives by analyzing business needs and developing solutions to meet those needs.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop functional requirements and process workflows.
- Lead business analysis activities to identify, analyze, and document business requirements.
- Work with stakeholders to determine undefined or unknown business processes and requirements.
- Develop business cases and participate in the development of RFx processes and contracts.
- Lead discussions with business teams to elicit, capture, and document requirements.
- Document discussions with business units to determine the extent to which solutions meet business needs.
- Create business, process, data, and workflow models to complement requirements.
- Act as a liaison facilitating requirements between project teams and vendors.
- Perform requirements tracking through development of traceability matrices.
- Develop, define, and build application-based business cases, briefing notes, and decision sheets.
- Create use cases, test plans, and work with business areas to create user acceptance test scripts.
- Perform testing with system developers and business leads to ensure overall functionality and technical quality of deliverables.
- Create functional specifications for conversions, upgrades, interfaces, reports, forms, and workflows.
- Ensure requirements for changes and enhancements are properly defined and approved.
- Serve as subject matter expert for newly adopted systems, system upgrades, or modified services.
- Facilitate walking clients or users through each step of the process identifying and making suggestions for improvements.
- Contribute to privacy and security reviews and assessments to help define risk, contingency, and mitigation strategies.
- Work with business units to identify and develop and deliver training to support end users.
- Create Service Level Agreements and Standard Operating Procedures with service and support.
- Conduct independent research to troubleshoot and learn related technologies for project-related applications and services.
- Provide routine systems and end-user support related to applications supported by the Application Services team.
- Partner with various departments on tasks related to efficiency initiatives, including automating tasks and/or process streamlining.
- Monitor and respond to IMIT Intake requests and may conduct Post-Implementation Reviews.
- Perform current as-is analysis and document process flows.
- Provide coaching and leadership to less senior team members.
- 5-7 years of Business Analysis experience in enterprise-scale projects with an expert understanding of the underlying technical architecture.
- Minimum of five (5) years of BC/Canadian healthcare project experience as a Business Analyst.
- Minimum of five (5) years of technical experience with mobile device, infrastructure, database, SharePoint, web application, cloud, desktop/laptop, network, security.
- Excellent communication skills and command of the English language.
- Experience providing training/orientation to adults on new technology and concepts.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Advanced problem-solving skills.
- Specific knowledge of IIBA-BABOK guide and standards.
- Solid working knowledge of the Project Management Institute's Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK).
- Solid working knowledge of business analysis documentation standards, methodologies, and best practices.
- Knowledge of current WAN technologies, including MPLS, DMVPN, Satellite, Microwave, and Wireless.
- Knowledge of Network Security Design methodology.
- Knowledge of mobile device, infrastructure, database, SharePoint, and web solutions.
- Knowledge of First Nations healthcare and/or culture is an asset.
- Ability to work within design teams and mentor IT colleagues.
- Strong analytical, research, writing, and communication skills.
- Sensitivity to and understanding of key issues and opportunities for BC First Nations health and wellness.
- Proven ability to work independently, as well as part of the team, to manage and prioritize, effectively, multiple competing projects/initiatives.
- Is a team player with a strong customer service orientation and diplomacy while dealing with multiple stakeholders.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field required or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Appropriate certifications and other professional development/continuing education relevant to the role preferred (e.g., CBAP).
- ITIL Foundation Version 3.0 Certification.
- CompTIA A+ Certification is preferred.
- CompTIA Network+ Certification is preferred.
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) is preferred.
Full vaccination is mandatory.
