DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As a key member of our Contract Administration Division at McIntosh Perry, you will undertake field inspection tasks for construction projects across Ontario. We carefully select our team based on location and expertise for each assignment.Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Conducting inspections on various construction projects to ensure adherence to contract specifications, quality benchmarks, and safety regulations. Analyzing and interpreting the requirements outlined in contract drawings and specifications. Recognizing and addressing any contractual or regulatory violations. Confirming quantities, compiling progress reports, and maintaining accurate documentation. Collaborating with contractors and other stakeholders; and Performing additional duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS – all levels A university degree or college diploma in Civil Engineering. Experience in engineering and construction inspection roles. Strong communication, problem-solving, and attention to detail skills. A demonstrated eagerness to learn. Capability to work independently as well as part of a team. A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle with current registration and insurance. Flexibility to work varied schedules and travel to different site locations. EXPERIENCE – Junior Inspector 1-3 years of relevant work experience; Registration as EIT with the PEO, if applicable, or OACETT designation as a rcji; or the ability to obtain this designation within 6 months; EXPERIENCE – Senior Inspector
3-5 years of experience in structural, watermain, asphalt, and/or grade inspection on MTO or municipal projects; Proven experience as a Construction Inspector on at least two (2) previous projects; Registration as EIT, if applicable, or P. Eng. with the PEO or OACETT designation as rcsi; or the ability to obtain this designation within 6 months.
