Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction/Engineering Field Inspector to join our team at McIntosh Perry. As a key member of our Contract Administration Division, you will be responsible for conducting field inspections at construction sites throughout Ontario.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect construction sites to ensure compliance with contract documents, quality, and safety standards.
  • Interpret contract drawings and specifications to ensure accurate implementation.
  • Identify and address contractual and regulatory infractions.
  • Verify quantities, prepare progress reports, and maintain documentation.
  • Liaise with contractors and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.

Qualifications

  • University degree or College diploma in Civil Engineering.
  • Experience in engineering and construction inspection works.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and attention to detail skills.
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn and adapt to new situations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle with valid registration and insurance.

Experience Requirements

  • Junior Inspector: 1-3 years of related work experience.
  • Senior Inspector: 3-5 years of experience in structural, watermain, asphalt, and/or grade inspection on MTO or municipal projects.
