The Big Dollar Inc. is seeking a dedicated Accounting Bookkeeper to manage financial records and ensure accuracy in our accounting processes. This is a permanent position requiring a commitment of 30 to 40 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities- Payroll Management: Calculate and prepare cheques for employee payroll.
- Asset Management: Assess fixed assets and manage depreciation.
- Record Keeping: Maintain comprehensive financial records and balance various accounts using both manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Oversee general ledgers and prepare financial statements.
- Journal Entries: Post journal entries accurately.
- Reporting: Generate statistical, financial, and accounting reports as needed.
- Tax Preparation: Prepare and file tax returns.
- Trial Balance: Prepare trial balances of books.
- Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy.
Proficiency in the following software is essential:
- MS Excel
- MS Outlook
- MS Word
- QuickBooks
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Experience: 1 to 2 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
This role requires the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. Overtime may be necessary.
