Role Overview

We are seeking a Middleware IT Solutions Advisor to enhance our expanding team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in the strategic planning, execution, and integration of network and security technology frameworks for large-scale, intricate projects.
  • Collaborate closely with developers to utilize various middleware services effectively.
  • Establish and maintain the network environment by crafting system configurations, overseeing installations, and defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards.
  • Participate in round-the-clock production support for implemented solutions.
  • Provide support for middleware components and their environments in collaboration with various infrastructure teams.
  • Work within the operations team to manage incidents and requests, offering high-level support during significant incidents.
  • Contribute actively to the advancement and automation of our platforms and processes.
  • Engage in Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Quotations (RFQs), and Bills of Materials (BOMs) as necessary.
  • Uphold security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
  • Assist in enhancing key data quality processes to ensure simplicity, speed, quality, and efficiency.
  • Participate in system testing activities related to infrastructure solutions.

Qualifications:

  • A university degree, college diploma, or a relevant combination of education and experience.
  • 8 to 10 years of experience as a computer systems administrator or in a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet company objectives while adapting to a dynamic work environment.
  • Experience and practical knowledge of agile methodologies and processes.
  • Familiarity with the maintenance and implementation of Baselines such as CIS.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities to analyze options, understand trade-offs, and determine optimal solutions.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, autonomous setting.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding and experience with application technologies, including Automation (Ansible, GitHub, IBM Datapower, MQ, JBOSS, DevOps, Linux).
  • Bilingualism is required for candidates located in Quebec due to regular interactions with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
  • No Canadian work experience is necessary; however, candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.
