Job Overview:
The selected candidate will take on responsibilities related to IBM MQ engineering, development of self-service tools, and enhancing the MQ messaging framework within the RedHat OpenShift cloud environment using Kubernetes. This role emphasizes not only technical expertise but also collaboration with IBM to address various support scenarios. We are looking for a proactive engineering professional with a solid understanding of the MQ messaging framework and strong communication abilities to engage with colleagues both within and outside the team to create reliable, scalable, and performance-driven solutions.
Experience Level:
* 5-7 years of experience in agile software development teams, particularly in Java and Perl.
* Educational Background:
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Required Qualifications:

* Familiarity with Unix/Linux operating systems.
* A self-motivated individual capable of effective teamwork.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with substantial teamwork experience.
Desired Skills:
* Understanding of SSL/TLS protocols.
* Experience in engineering or supporting the IBM MQ Messaging platform.
* Knowledge or experience in Perl is advantageous for the team.
* Familiarity with Unix/Linux-based systems.
* Experience with Docker/Kubernetes ecosystems.
* Contributions to open-source projects are a plus.
