Senior Manager Labor Relations

Join our team as a Senior Director Labor Relations and Negotiations at Transat A.T Inc. in a full-time role. We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead our labor relations team and negotiate collective agreements for the entire organization.
About the RoleThe incumbent will ensure strategic management of labor relations, including negotiation and renewal of collective agreements. They will foster positive and cooperative relationships with management and union partners, prevent potential labor conflicts, and lead the labor relations team in negotiations.
Key Responsibilities- Lead labor relations team in negotiations and provide advice on collective bargaining issues
- Develop negotiation strategies and interpret collective agreements
- Conduct consultations with managers and the human resources team to obtain negotiations mandates
- Establish innovative negotiation strategies and work with management and negotiation committee members
- Implement effective governance structure and grievance management to minimize risks for the organization
- Assist labor relations team members and attorneys/legal counsel in certain litigation cases
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in industrial relations, business administration, or a relevant field of study, and a minimum of 15 years of experience in labor relations, negotiations, and legal affairs, including 10 years in supervisory or management roles.
They will possess strong skills in writing and communication, knowledge of the Canada Labour Code, and experience with Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service. Proficiency in MS Office software and excellent command of both French and English are also required.
