Senior Manager Labor Relations

Join our team at Transat A.T Inc. as a Senior Manager Labor Relations and Negotiations. We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead our labor relations efforts and negotiate collective agreements for our entire organization.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will report to the Chief People, Sustainability and Communications Officer and be responsible for the strategic management of labor relations. This includes coordinating with management and union partners to prevent potential labor conflicts, conducting research and analyses to develop orientations and objectives, and supporting the argumentation for management proposals.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in labor relations, negotiations, and legal affairs, with a minimum of 15 years of experience in supervisory or management roles. They will also possess excellent communication and writing skills, as well as proficiency in MS Office software.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic management of labor relations, including negotiation and renewal of collective agreements
- Coordination with management and union partners to prevent potential labor conflicts
- Conducting research and analyses to develop orientations and objectives
- Supporting the argumentation for management proposals
- Assisting labor relations team members and attorneys/legal counsel in certain litigation cases
- Bachelor's degree in industrial relations, business administration, or another relevant field of study
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in labor relations, negotiations, and legal affairs, including 10 years in supervisory or management roles
- Strong skills in writing and communication
- Knowledge of the Canada Labour Code (an asset)
- Experience with Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service (an asset)
- Proficient in MS Office software
- Excellent command of both French and English (oral and written)
