Job SummaryWe are seeking an exceptional customer service professional to join us as a Buyer II. As the leading supply chain solutions business in the aerospace industry, customers are at the heart of our business.
Key Responsibilities- Apply a clear and accurate understanding of the policies and procedures for purchasing products in support of requirements to successfully satisfy sales orders obtained by the Sales and Customer Program departments.
- Review incoming purchase requisitions for routine and non-routine purchases and contracts; identify approved suppliers; obtain quotes (RFQ's) for competitive bidding; and award the purchase order in support of business plans and strategic objectives to meet company procurement standards and philosophies.
- Assist in the training of less experienced buyers under the guidance of Buyer III and/or department manager.
Educated to National Vocational (NVQ) Level 3 or equivalent EU High School Diploma or GED, with five years of relative industry experience is required; certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) credential is preferred, OR Bachelor's degree in related field AND one year of buying experience; and/or any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
