About the Role

We are currently seeking an exceptional customer service professional to join us as a Buyer II. As the leading supply chain solutions business in the aerospace industry, customers are at the heart of our business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply a clear and accurate understanding of the policies and procedures for purchasing products in support of requirements to successfully satisfy sales orders obtained by the Sales and Customer Program departments.
  • Review incoming purchase requisitions for routine and non-routine purchases and contracts; identify approved suppliers; obtain quotes (RFQ's) for competitive bidding; and award the purchase order in support of business plans and strategic objectives to meet company procurement standards and philosophies.
  • Assist in the training of less experienced buyers under the guidance of Buyer III and/or department manager.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience of purchasing practices and procedures, as listed above, with 1 year of Wesco purchasing experience, preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Wesco commodities or aerospace parts is preferred.
  • Proven skills in interpreting basic to general technical specifications and bids.
  • Demonstrated experience in the skill of establishing and maintaining positive and effective working relationships.
  • Ability to train and motivate less experienced personnel to excellence.
