About the Role

Northwestern Polytechnic is seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Business Partner to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will play a critical role in driving business outcomes and supporting the strategic direction of the institution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert HR guidance and support to leaders, staff, and faculty on human resources requirements, policies, and procedures.
  • Liaise with unions and associations to champion and implement changes across the institution.
  • Assist with collective bargaining preparation and support the bargaining team.
  • Counsel managers on documentation and investigation procedures.
  • Investigate and respond to concerns and issues before they become formalized grievances or complaints.
  • Attend and facilitate investigations on sensitive issues such as harassment complaints or staff disputes.
  • Develop and implement action plans to correct performance or behavior.
  • Advise leaders on the progressive discipline process.
  • Conduct research and surveys to support collective bargaining and planning.
  • Develop and oversee the implementation of an institution-wide recruitment strategy.
