About the Role

Vernon Stucco & Plaster Ltd. is seeking a skilled Stucco Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for applying, leveling, and smoothing coats of plaster to create high-quality finishes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster to achieve a high-quality finish
  • Instruct apprentices in the art of stucco application and finishing techniques
  • Mix plaster ingredients to the desired consistency for optimal results
  • Install ornamental plaster panels, cornices, and trim to add a touch of elegance to our projects
  • Estimate costs and materials for each project to ensure efficient use of resources
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to understand project requirements
Work Environment

As a Stucco Specialist, you will work in various locations, including construction sites and our workshop. You will be required to work in a physically demanding environment, bending, crouching, and kneeling to complete tasks. Our work term is permanent, and we offer a 35-40 hour workweek.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in stucco application and finishing
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Language

The primary language of work is English.
