About the Role

Vernon Stucco & Plaster Ltd. is seeking a skilled Stucco Plasterer to join our team. As a Stucco Plasterer, you will be responsible for applying, leveling, and smoothing coats of plaster to create a smooth and durable finish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Applying Plaster Coats: Apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster to walls and ceilings, ensuring a smooth and even finish.
  • Moulding and Installing Plaster Panels: Mould and install ornamental plaster panels, cornices, and trim to create decorative designs.
  • Estimating and Planning: Estimate costs and materials required for each project, and plan the work accordingly.
  • Reading and Interpreting Plans: Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to understand project requirements.
  • Supervising Apprentices: Instruct and supervise apprentices to ensure they are properly trained and equipped to perform their duties.
Work Environment and Conditions
  • Work Setting: Work in various locations, including construction sites and offices.
  • Physical Demands: The role requires physical stamina, as you will be required to bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods.
  • Work Hours: Work 35 to 40 hours per week, with regular breaks and time off as per company policy.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in stucco plastering.
  • Language: English.
