THE ROLE
The Manufacturing Process Engineer position serves as an excellent launch point for engineers eager to apply and enhance their skills. We offer a fast-tracked learning experience in manufacturing and chemical engineering, providing immediate responsibilities and opportunities to make a meaningful impact through exposure to diverse processes and technologies.
With a collaborative team approach, you will work alongside experienced colleagues who are eager to share their knowledge and mentorship. You will also participate in our structured development program, the Engineering Ladder, allowing you to advance into more responsible and impactful roles as your skills evolve.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in engineering projects and initiatives.
- Monitor daily production metrics.
- Design and specify the operation of manufacturing processes.
- Assist in proposal preparation, develop findings, draw conclusions, and make recommendations. Prepare engineering reports, cost estimates, and process documentation.
- Contribute to the design of moderately complex engineering projects or manage segments of larger projects.
- Propose ideas for safer, more cost-effective, or innovative techniques, regardless of project association.
- Ensure engineering assignments are completed within time and budget constraints.
- Maintain technical expertise and knowledge at the forefront of the industry.
- Collaborate with other engineers and production teams across various facilities. Engage with Sales, Marketing, Accounting, and suppliers as necessary.
- Report to the Technical Manager.
- Receive moderate guidance and some supervision, with significant autonomy in planning work. Work is periodically reviewed for accuracy and completeness.
- Provide technical guidance and instruction to process operators. Assist entry-level professionals with procedural and technical matters.
- Address a broad range of troubleshooting challenges, applying basic process knowledge and creative problem-solving to recommend corrective actions.
We seek engineers who are eager to learn in a culture of excellence. You will need:
- BSc in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Familiarity with basic chemical unit operations.
- Relevant internships, placements, or work experience are beneficial but not mandatory; we can quickly equip you with the necessary skills in chemical processes and production.
