The Burlington Performing Arts Centre is seeking an experienced and dynamic Executive Director to lead our team in delivering exceptional arts programming and services to the community.

About the Role

The Executive Director will be responsible for overseeing the overall strategy and direction of the Centre, including programming, marketing, fundraising, and community engagement. The successful candidate will have a strong background in arts management, with experience in leading teams and managing budgets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the Centre's strategic plan, in collaboration with the Board of Directors and staff
  • Oversee the programming and production of arts events, including concerts, theatre productions, and festivals
  • Manage the Centre's marketing and communications efforts, including social media and public relations
  • Develop and implement fundraising strategies to support the Centre's operations and programming
  • Build and maintain relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and artists
  • Supervise and support a team of staff and volunteers
About the Centre

The Burlington Performing Arts Centre is a 63,000 sq. ft. facility located in the heart of downtown Burlington. The Centre features a 718-seat main theatre, a flexible black box studio theatre, and a family-friendly lobby. We are committed to delivering exceptional arts programming and services to the community, and we are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to help us achieve our goals.

Requirements
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in arts management, with a strong background in leading teams and managing budgets
  • University degree in arts and/or business management, or equivalent experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and artists
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to supervise and support a team of staff and volunteers
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $135,000 to $150,000, as well as an excellent benefits package and opportunities for professional development.
