About the Opportunity

Job Summary:

The Health Services Manager/Site Lead is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership to multi-disciplinary teams within a patient-centered, Collaborative Practice Model for patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply strategic and analytical thinking to address challenges and achieve high-quality, safe, and cost-effective services to better support patient experience/outcome.
  • Work collaboratively and consultatively with patients/clients, families, management, staff, physicians, community partners, and service providers.
  • Exhibit sound professional judgment and initiative while working within the framework and objectives of the Health Services Program and the Mission and Vision and Strategic Directions of Nova Scotia Health.
  • Incorporate into daily practice the Core Competencies and Values of Nova Scotia Health.

About You:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional with the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a health-related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years recent clinical experience in a position included in this portfolio.
  • Minimum 5 years recent experience in a leadership and/or management position with responsibilities related to program planning, evaluation, human resource, and financial management within a unionized environment.
  • Experience developing and facilitating strategies consistent with the principles of Organizational Health.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in program planning, financial and human resource management, oral and written communication, and interpersonal effectiveness.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, analytical, problem-solving, conflict resolution, negotiation, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strategic partnerships and collaborative working relationships with a variety of internal and external partners across the healthcare continuum.
  • Demonstrated commitment to employee and self-development and continuous quality improvement.
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred.
