Offshore Accounting Specialist

Position Overview
EDF Renewables North America stands as a prominent independent power producer and service provider, boasting over 35 years of industry expertise. Our focus encompasses large-scale energy solutions, including wind (both onshore and offshore), solar photovoltaic, and energy storage projects. We also provide distribution-scale energy solutions and asset optimization services, enhancing the performance of generating projects. Our PowerFlex affiliate offers comprehensive onsite energy solutions tailored for commercial and industrial clients, including solar, storage, EV charging, energy management systems, and microgrids.
Role Responsibilities
- Engage actively in assigned tasks related to the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring timely and precise completion of journal entries and ledger maintenance.
- Prepare and finalize assigned schedules, including workpapers, ensuring that all relevant account reconciliations are executed accurately and on time.
- Reconcile invoices from related parties, manage timesheet consumption reporting, and secure necessary supporting documentation. Prepare capital call requests for shareholders and reconcile capital accounts.
- Undertake additional duties and responsibilities as directed by the immediate supervisor or their designated representative.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in accounting or finance.
- Possession of a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation, either in-progress or completed, or equivalent designations such as Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), or Certified General Accountant (CGA).
- A minimum of 2-5 years of experience within an accounting department, preferably from a mid-tier or Big 4 CA/CPA firm.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

Work Environment
This position entails a hybrid work model, with three days per week designated for in-person work in the office, while the remaining days can be remote or in-office at the employee's discretion.
