Job Description

At McCarthy Tétrault, we are committed to fostering an inclusive and equitable work environment that values diversity and promotes social responsibility. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Director of Diversity and Inclusion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive diversity and inclusion strategy that aligns with the firm's values and goals.
  • Provide leadership and guidance on diversity and inclusion initiatives, including training and education programs, policy development, and community outreach.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote diversity and inclusion in all aspects of the firm's operations.
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify trends and best practices in diversity and inclusion, and develop recommendations for implementation.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders, including community organizations, suppliers, and clients.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to employees on diversity and inclusion issues, and facilitate open and respectful dialogue.
  • Develop and implement metrics to measure the effectiveness of diversity and inclusion initiatives, and provide regular reporting to senior leadership.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in diversity and inclusion, and apply this knowledge to inform the firm's diversity and inclusion strategy.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in diversity and inclusion, preferably in a legal or professional services environment.
  • Post-secondary degree in a relevant field, such as diversity and inclusion, human resources, or business administration.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of professionalism and discretion.
