Position Overview:

John Wood Group is in search of a Senior Civil Engineering Lead to enhance our Mining & Minerals division. This role is pivotal in overseeing the delivery of Civil Engineering services for our significant projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing civil earthworks, including grading, drainage, and road construction.
  • Preparing proposals, feasibility studies, and engineering specifications.
  • Reviewing project documents for technical quality and accuracy.
  • Managing multiple tasks within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Providing leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Coordinating with project managers and other discipline leads.
Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • An undergraduate or graduate degree in Civil Engineering, with eligibility for Professional Engineer registration.
  • Experience in tailings/slurry piping layout design.
  • Proficiency in stormwater management and geotechnical design.
  • Strong organizational and technical skills.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Familiarity with Civil 3D software is advantageous.
  • Authorization to work in Canada without sponsorship.
