**About the Role**

Wood is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Engineer to join our Mining & Minerals business group. As a Lead Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering Civil Engineering services on our major projects. You will report to the Engineering Manager and work closely with our team to ensure the successful execution of our projects.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Develop and implement Civil Engineering designs and solutions for our projects
  • Lead and manage a team of Civil Engineers and designers
  • Collaborate with our national and global mining teams to deliver projects
  • Work on challenging and innovative solutions for potash, lithium, uranium, and base metal projects
  • Ensure compliance with industry codes, standards, and construction methods
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Manage project budgets and timelines
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and designers

**Requirements**

  • Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Civil Engineering with eligibility to register as a Professional Engineer in the Province of Saskatchewan
  • 15 years of earthwork, buried, and surface run utilities experience
  • Tailings/slurry piping layout design experience is an asset
  • Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment
  • Ability to work in both design office and operating plant environments
  • Ability to mentor junior engineers and design personnel
  • Experience in storm water management, stormwater runoff calculations, sizing of ditches, culverts, and ponds
  • Good understanding of various coordinate systems and survey controls
  • Experience in interpreting and applying geotechnical design recommendations on civil designs
  • Experience in interpreting geotechnical & hydrology reports
  • Engineering experience in private fire protection systems
  • Excellent organizational, technical, and computer skills
  • Must be Fluent in English, both spoken and written
  • Knowledge of general civil designs and an understanding of industry codes, standards, and construction methods
  • Experience with Civil 3D software would be an asset
  • Authorization to lawfully work in Canada without sponsorship from Wood is required.
