About the Role

Morrison Hershfield, a leading engineering practice, is seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to lead our Building Envelope New Construction team in Alberta. As a key member of our Building Specialty Services Business Unit, you will be responsible for driving the growth of this service line, developing business strategies, and leading a team of professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development: Grow new business through innovative solutions and services, drive service area profitability, and perform technical service delivery as a form of business development and technical expertise.
  • Project Management: Perform business development activities, build relationships with clients, and use political influence to meet goals. Act as primary author on unique proposals and project manage high-risk or multi-discipline projects.
  • Technical Leadership: Define scope of complex services, establish design criteria, review and approve technical documentation, and develop and recommend improvements in standards.
  • Leadership: Lead by creating an innovative approach to work, function as a Team Lead, and provide regular oversight and direction to select team members.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree and 15+ years' related experience, or Technical College Diploma with 15+ years' experience.
  • P.Eng. or professional Architect designation would be considered an asset.
  • Significant technical and sales history and familiarity with this service line and local industry recognition/contacts.
