Environmental Engineer - Emergency Response Specialist

GHD is committed to helping you develop your skills and expertise in environmental engineering, with a focus on emergency response and preparedness. As an Environmental Engineer - Emergency Response Specialist, you will play a key role in our team's efforts to protect the environment and ensure a sustainable future for our communities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in preparing emergency response plans and participating in exercises
  • Provide on-site professional services for emergency spill response
  • Conduct field work, including containment and confinement of spills, drilling, and sampling
  • Assist with report writing and data analysis
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Engineering (Environmental, Civil, Geological), Bachelor of Science, or alternate relevant qualifications
  • 0-2 years of experience required, co-op experience a benefit
  • Flexible work schedule, ability to work weekends, holidays, and nights
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
