Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to join our team at RailWorks Corporation. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to our operations team, ensuring the smooth day-to-day functioning of our office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative Support
    • Provide general office support, including answering phones, taking messages, and greeting visitors.
    • Perform administrative and clerical duties, such as opening and sorting mail, preparing courier, and maintaining office supplies.
    • Manage spreadsheets and databases, photocopying, filing, and maintaining records.
  • Event Planning
    • Organize annual events, such as the golf tournament and holiday party, including budget planning and event management.
  • Communication and Social Media
    • Manage the company Facebook page and write newsletters.
  • Asset Management
    • Order, track, and manage assets, such as iPhones and iPads.
  • Special Projects
    • Assist in special projects as required and perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Education
    • High School Graduation supplemented by completion of a post-secondary program in Business Administration.
  • Experience
    • A minimum of two (2) years of recent related office and accounting experience.
    • Experience in the construction industry or project-based environment is preferred.
  • Skills
    • Proficiency in the use of software applications, such as MS Office, SharePoint, and websites.
    • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, organize work, prioritize, and work to deadlines.
    • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information and to perform with a high level of professionalism and integrity.
