About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Support Specialist to join our team at Hampton Lodge. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with Patient Care: Provide basic care and support to patients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Maintain a Clean and Safe Environment: Ensure patient rooms and common areas are clean and well-maintained, and that all necessary supplies are available.
  • Communicate Effectively: Respond to patient call signals, deliver messages and reports, and communicate with other healthcare team members as needed.
  • Transport Patients: Safely transport patients between care facilities and within the facility, using wheelchairs or stretchers as necessary.
  • Administer First Aid: Provide basic first aid and emergency care as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting, or equivalent experience.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs), and perform repetitive tasks.
