Position Overview

The successful candidate will provide leadership in the care of clients, contributing to the assessment, planning, development, organization, implementation, and evaluation of all aspects of care related to Speech-Language Pathology in accordance with the Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics as set out for Speech-Language Pathologists by the College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists of Manitoba.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, identify, and treat clients of varying ages and with diverse diagnoses
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care
  • Provide education and support to clients and their families

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited post-secondary institution
  • Active registration with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Manitoba
  • Eligibility for membership in Speech-Language and Audiology Canada
  • Strong organizational, decision-making, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills

Physical Requirements

  • Must be in good physical and mental health and be able to sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time without resting
  • Must be able to work under stress and time constraints

Additional Requirements

  • Must undergo a Criminal Records Check (including vulnerable sector), Adult Abuse Registry Check, and a Child Abuse Registry Check
  • Must provide three work-related references with the application
