About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing your critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills to provide high-quality patient care. As an Operating Room Technician, you will be responsible for both the scrub and circulating roles, ensuring the smooth operation of our 9 OR theatres.
Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care in the intraoperative phase, working closely with the surgical team
- Assist with patient preparation, positioning, and transfer
- Monitor and maintain a safe and clean environment in the OR
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
Requirements:
- Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse education program
- Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA)
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP)
- Completion of a perioperative nursing course (or equivalent OR experience)
