Position Summary

The Financial Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all financial activities within the plant. This role encompasses the generation of regular financial reports, the upkeep of accounting records, the establishment of internal controls, and the formulation of budgets aimed at minimizing risks while enhancing the precision of the financial reports produced by the company. The Financial Operations Manager collaborates with the Plant Manager to provide insights and analyses that support strategic business decisions aligned with corporate objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Direct the accounting department to ensure the accurate and timely preparation of financial management reports, including internal and external monthly financial statements, annual audits, and budgets. Supervise the disbursement department to guarantee the precise and prompt processing of accounts payable, purchase orders, petty cash, employee expense reports, cash management, and compliance with payroll tax regulations. Manage the accounts receivable department to ensure the effective handling of all accounts receivable components, including billing, cash applications, funding management, and year-end closing procedures. Oversee payroll systems to ensure timely and accurate employee payments, benefits administration, and adherence to regulatory requirements. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory bodies, including federal, state, and local tax obligations. Develop and maintain systems and controls that validate the integrity of all processes and data, thereby enhancing the company's overall value. Provide timely and accurate support to the CFO and Group Controller to meet their financial requirements. Engage in various special projects and compile specialized reports as needed. Maintain professional communication with colleagues, management, clients, and other stakeholders. Adhere to all regulations, policies, and procedures. Protect company assets and ensure the accurate recording of all transactions through robust internal audits and controls. Ensure the accuracy and reporting of the perpetual inventory system, including cost accounting for all inventory items. Align financial plans with organizational goals. Provide analytical tools to assess company initiatives, special projects, capital expenditures, and product costing. The incumbent is responsible for understanding and managing the Environmental Management System (EMS) as outlined in the EMS policy.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience. Community college diploma in a related discipline or equivalent experience. A minimum of ten years of progressive experience in a manufacturing setting. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) credentials. Strong organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written. Proficiency in database applications and administrative systems, particularly Microsoft Office. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively. Highly motivated, service-oriented individual with meticulous attention to detail. Enthusiasm for challenges and new initiatives is essential. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Supervisory and interpersonal skills are essential. Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently. Detail-oriented with proficient computer skills.
