Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Toptierreps. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for diagnosing, assessing, and treating human communication disorders, including speech, fluency, language, voice, and swallowing disorders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnosis and Evaluation:
- Administer comprehensive assessments to diagnose and evaluate speech, voice, resonance, language, fluency, cognitive-linguistic, and swallowing disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address communication and swallowing disorders
- Treatment and Remediation:
- Design and implement evidence-based treatment programs to improve communication and swallowing skills
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Patient and Family Support:
- Provide education and counseling to patients and families regarding communication and swallowing disorders
- Research and Development:
- Conduct research on speech and other communication disorders to improve treatment outcomes
- Develop and design diagnostic procedures and devices to improve assessment and treatment
- Supervision and Instruction:
- Supervise and mentor communicative disorders assistants, students, and other healthcare personnel
- Additional Duties:
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
Requirements:
- Certification by the College of Audiology and Speech Language Pathology of Ontario (CASLPO) in good standing
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to ongoing medical education and professional development
- Ability to manage a diverse range of health issues in patients of all age groups
