Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at MJ Thorpe Restaurants Ltd. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service team, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and high-quality food.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Staff

Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively to meet the needs of our customers.

Train and Develop Staff

Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure that they are meeting the high standards of our company.

Manage Food Quality and Safety

Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, and that all food safety procedures are followed at all times.

Address Customer Complaints

Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner, and take steps to resolve any issues promptly.

Prepare Reports

Prepare and submit reports as required, including sales reports, inventory reports, and other relevant data.

Requirements
  • Education and Experience

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role, or equivalent experience.

Work Setting

Fast food outlet or concession environment.

Supervision

Supervise a team of 16-20 staff, including cooks, food service counter attendants, food preparers, and kitchen and food service helpers.

Certifications and Licenses

First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, and Food Safety Certificate.

Transportation and Travel

Valid driver's licence and own transportation.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling.
