Position Overview:
The Senior Control Systems Engineer will play a pivotal role in our engineering team, focusing on the provision of specialized technical support and oversight for instrumentation and control systems within power generation facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the design, planning, and execution of capital projects related to instrumentation and control systems.
  • Provide technical direction and support for field instrumentation, fieldbuses, and operational technology network technologies.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance asset management and optimization initiatives.
  • Develop and refine engineering design specifications, standards, and procedures.
  • Oversee troubleshooting and resolution of instrumentation and control system issues.
  • Mentor junior engineers to foster their technical growth and competency.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Process Control Engineering.
  • Registered or eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer in Alberta.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in instrumentation and control systems.
  • Hands-on experience with power generation technologies, including gas turbines and boilers.
  • In-depth knowledge of field instrumentation, automation networking, and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Expertise in Distributed Control Systems (DCS), particularly with Siemens T3000 and Emerson Ovation.

Work Environment:
This position supports a hybrid work model, allowing for a combination of remote and in-office work.
