Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and compassionate Infants' Daycare Worker to join our team at The Big Playhouse. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in designing and implementing child-care programs that promote the well-being and development of our youngest learners.
Key Responsibilities- Bathing, Diapering, and Feeding: Provide gentle and attentive care to infants and toddlers, ensuring their physical needs are met.
- Program Development: Collaborate with our team to design and implement child-care programs that support the cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
- Activity Leadership: Engage children in activities that promote learning and exploration, such as storytelling, singing, and outings to local points of interest.
- Creative Expression: Encourage children to express their creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity.
- Health and Hygiene: Guide children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits, while maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Meal Preparation: Prepare healthy snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
- Environment Maintenance: Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children.
- Certifications: Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, and CPR Certificate.
- Experience: Experience in childcare or a related field is an asset.
- Language: Fluency in English is required.
- Work Hours: 30-40 hours per week.
